Our team has been retained by the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (working in collaboration with the World Bank) to advise on the legal and regulatory changes required for blending hydrogen in natural gas pipelines across India. This significant project is part of the Indian government’s transition away from fossil fuels, promoting hydrogen as a vital component of its clean energy agenda.
Lawyers from our team are approved empanelled lawyers with the US-India Clean Energy Finance (USICEF) initiative.
Created model documents for the compressed biogas industry in India, in the context of the Sustainable Alternative Towards Affordable Transportation (SATAT) initiative of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, which is being supported by the World Bank Group.
Assisted a UK backed Indian entity acquire NINE (ground mounted) solar power projects from most of the major renewable energy developers in India including Rays Power, Enrich Energy and Unison/ Suzlon.
Advised Rays Power on numerous (ground mounted) solar projects, including sale of developed projects.
Advised a wind power developer in Karnataka in relation to its O&M Agreement.
Assisted and advised Origin Renewables in developing its portfolio consisting of the following projects:
- Rooftop Solar Panels Project for the Aditya Birla Group;
- Rooftop Solar Panels Project for Crown Worldwide Movers;
- Rooftop Solar Panels Project for Ideal Fasteners;
- Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant Project for Insolare Energy;
- Waste to Energy Project for Seawoods Estates; and
- Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant Project for SMR Automotive Systems.
Origin Renewables provides renewable energy solutions encompassing rooftop solar, biodegradable waste to electricity, ground mounted MW solar farms, hybrid wind-solar systems etc. It is amongst the pioneers in the Indian market providing an opex based (capex light) renewable solution in an Infrastructure as a Service (IAAS) concept.
Assisted and advised in relation to the acquisition by EverSource Capital, a joint venture platform of private equity firm Everstone Capital and Lightsource BP, of Origin Renewables.
Assisted and advised Radiance Renewables in acquiring Kushtagi Solar Power and Capsol Energy, entities engaged in the business of solar powered energy projects for sale and supply of generated electric power to off-takers in India.
Advised Radiance on the acquisition of Capsol Sunray and Rayleigh-Strutt Cleantech, both engaged in the business of solar powered energy projects.
Radiance is a private equity firm, backed by the UK based Green Growth Equity Fund, and managed by EverSource Capital, a joint venture of EverStone Capital and Lighthouse BP.
Assisted Renew Power in relation to the development and installation of a 28 MW (14X2 MW) Wind Power Project in Maharashtra.
